Harry Parfitt

Harry Parfitt is a doctoral student in Labour Geography at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Major: Governance) and a master’s degree in Global Studies, both from University of Freiburg, Germany. Harry has also studied in Austria (Universität Wien), South Africa (University of Cape Town), and India (Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi). For his MA thesis he conducted an ethnographic study of working conditions in the German platform delivery sector. For his doctoral degree, he is developing an ethnographic workers’ inquiry into the role of AI in care home labour in Switzerland.
